The Chainsaw Proctologists defeated the SSB SSB Tar Heels by a score of 10 to
6 at Minute Maid Park.
Kosuke Fukudome had a big day with his bat. He slapped a single in the 4th
inning, smashed a two-run homer (his 4th of the season) in the 6th inning and
lined a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 7th inning. This was the kind
of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.
Jeff Suppan(2-9) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 5 runs. Jason Bergmann recorded the save, his 2nd. The losing
pitcher was Hiroki Kuroda(5-3). He was knocked around pretty good, giving up
6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.
The Chainsaw ballclub's record now stands at 26-52. SSB has a record of 31-47
after the loss.
